International Week (iWeek) event which carries the theme “ASEAN Business Environment” that started on July 15th 2019, was officially ended last Friday, July 26th 2019. Dean of Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM), Dr. Eko Suwardi, M.Sc., closed the event by distributing the certificate to 35 participants of iWeek that consisted of students from Malaysia, Nepal, Thailand, Vietnam, and Indonesia. Participants from Indonesia were hailed from many universities, namely Universitas Diponegoro, Universitas Indonesia, Universitas Atmajaya Jakarta, Universitas UPN Veteran Jakarta, Universitas Airlangga, and Universitas Andalas. Dr. Eko expressed a message to all delegates, which he referred to as future leaders, to contribute collectively to their nations’ growth. “The future of ASEAN is in your hands, as the leaders of the future. You shall maintain the friendship you’ve sowed through this program to collectively build brilliant ASEAN.”

Saturday (27/7), the Faculty of Economics and Business at the Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) held a reunion of the Gadjah Mada Faculty of Economics Alumni Family (KAFEGAMA). The reunion which brought together the groups from 1970 to 1972 began at 09.00 WIB. Eko Suwardi, M.Sc., Ph.D. as the Dean of FEB UGM welcomed with appreciation the alumni who attended. Eko explained the progress of the development of FEB UGM while giving the staff a remembrance of the lecture period at the UGM Central Building, better known as the “blue campus”. This was agreed upon by Edi Haryoto as the representative of the alumni who also appreciated the development of FEB UGM.

Nowadays, accountants are increasingly needed in every business line considering each entity manages funds and requires a variety of financial information. Companies, government agencies, and even community organizations are required to attract competent individuals in the field of accounting to produce reliable and relevant accounting information. The urgency of early learning about the world of accounting encourages Ikatan Akuntan Indonesia (IAI) Yogyakarta together with Information Systems Discussion Forum - IAI Compartment of Accountant Educators and Professional Education Accountants at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM), Accounting Education Center - Laboratory Laboratory Accounting FEB UGM held a Workshop entitled "High School Accounting Learning Innovation" on July 23rd. The activity held at Pertamina Tower Building 5th Floor Room P.5.4 (IT Corner) FEB UGM is a manifestation of the social care of higher education institutions and professions to actively participate in the development of accounting in Indonesia.

Faculty of Economics and Business University of Gadjah Mada congratulate on the inauguration of the FEB UGM alumni Dr. Andin Hadiyanto as Director General of the Treasury of the Ministry of Finance.
Inaugurated by minister of finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati at the Head Office of the Directorate General of Taxes (21/07/2019), Andi was born in Wonosobo, June 9, 1965, and graduated in Economics and Development Studies at Gajah Mada University in 1989.

As a series of summer course program events, International Summer University (ISU) and International Week (IWeek) 2019, and to commemorating the 64th Anniversary of FEB UGM, on Monday (07/22/2019), FEB UGM held CEO Talk with keynote speaker Edie Rizliyanto as President Director of PT. Asuransi Jasa Indonesia (Persero). The event was held at the Auditorium of the FEB UGM Learning Building and was attended by lecturers and all participants from the 2019 ISU and IWEEK.

Monday (15/7), the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) held the opening ceremony of the International Summer University (ISU) and International Week (IWEEK) 2019 as a series of events from the 64th FEB UGM Anniversary. ISU is an academic cooperation program at the FEB UGM with the Vienna University of Economic and Business which will be held on July 15 to August 2. 22 participants from FEB UGM and 17 participants from Vienna University will collaborate in classroom learning activities and cultural events. "Trends, Opportunities, and Challenges in Emerging Markets" will be the main highlight of the ISU 2019. The activities will consist of lectures, case study projects, and guest lectures from various companies, as well as Talk CEOs from PT Garuda Indonesia and PT Jasindo.
